Not for sure but I have had a similiar error like that with the red screen and multi slave error and mine was caused by a corrupt rfa. Also with the comm link failure error check the grey wires that plug into the front of the distribution power supply behind the hopper and check to make sure they are plugged in good where they come through the cabinet on the top left side in the top box.

I'm not an S-2000 or vision expert by any means, but based on what your video showed, I think that the software is running into an error trying to play that credit rollup sound after the first bonus win.  It added the credits, but based on the later part of the video, it's supposed to highlight the winning line(s) and play that rollup tune that it plays later in the video.

I wouldn't let the com error fool you -- I think the meat of the problem is here:

From what I gather, the software is instructed to play that rollup tune, but then another part of the software is reporting that the rollup tune ("payline sound") isn't there.  Why it works after the reboot is a mystery to me, though.  Perhaps your software is corrupted a little?  Do you have a backup copy of the software you could try installing in its place?

 applause applause applause

The comm error is because the bonus game (on the LCD) crashed and the machine can no longer communicate with the bonus game. They really shouldn't use that red screen since it's running Winblows, they should make the screen blue (Blue Screen Of Death  bust gut laughing bust gut laughing bust gut laughing).

Fix the sound file issue and the comm error will go away.

When you donate, please make sure you include your user name so that Joey knows who donated.  Some even follow up with Joey to be sure.

Scratch Head    Been thinking about the information that I received about my busted Mata Hari machine and the donation I just gave.  I sold a Slot Kit to member in France (see link http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=5898.msg52014#msg52014 ) and I made a profit of $42.00 that I would never made if it was not for this sight.  I was glad to help someone else with something they wanted , I was not after the money, just wanted to help.  I am going to again donated to NLG right now that amount ( $42.00)  And once again thank those who help others here , when help or information is requested.
Special thanks to Jim and the others who answered my call for help.  Clap

Update of 2/14/2010

I have found somemore things out about this problem.  What I discovered is that the slot only locks up and throws the error code After the power has been shut down and the machine hits the bonus for the first time.  And If I let it sit there for about 10-15 minutes and cycles a few times and reboots its self and picks up where it left of during the bonus. After that, as long as the machine has NOT been shut down it will play and play even run through the bonus without any error.
If I turn the power off I can say bonus round will cause the error once upon a winning amount hits during the bonus

Scratch Head  Thinking about putting the original software back that it came with till I can find the correct updates I need to fix it right.

Well just a little update to those on this thread who have been so helpful, I found a glitch/fluke with this bug.
Here is what I did, when I hit the bonus I hurry and open the belly glass and give a 3 count and close it.
The bonus starts and runs fine, no problem.  After that it runs and plays fine till I unplug it or power it down.  But I need to open the belly glass each time , But I have also noticed if I hit max credits a few times when the problem occurs and cycles past the problem with in a few seconds to a minute.
I did try my original chip set back in and with them in it will not work at all, says no bonus game available.

I know I could just leave the machine on all the time, but with credits on it I might get a screen burn...

No screen burn on a LCD....
I checked my S2000/Vision bible and it shows the 194 GME's combined with a 454 base chip...
Since this seems to be associated with BONUS rounds....I HIGHLY suspect the files in the flash card!

Put a SOCK in it !

yep, I said sock.  Here is a way around the problem.  I stick a sock and jam up the last reel and turn the machine on.  As it boots up and it gets a reel tilt and I need to turn the reset key to clear it.  Then it finishes booting up and will play till the cows come home.

anyone come across any newly released chips for this 3 coin Mata Hari yet ?
