I should preface all this with the fact that I am a new slot owner.  I don't too much about the internals but am a computer geek and have experience with electronics.

I have a nice Bally S6000 4 reel Bonus Frenzy.  The game works perfectly, no problems at all with it.  Currently is is setup for free play with the Bally Free play kit like this:  http://rudysdeals.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=38&product_id=831

It has a coin comparitor, no coin hopper, no bill validator, no cashbox.  But it looks like all of the harnesses are there, but I cannot be sure.

I would like to convert the machine to accept ONLY bills (no coins) and be able to print out a ticket on cashout.  Basically a "bill in, ticket out" machine.  I expect that I would need a bill validator, cash box, ticket printer and I may need a ticket printer bracket (I do not see any way to connect a ticket printer to the case).

Any help or direction would be appreciated.

Thanks

I see that nobody has jumped in to help you yet. I will get you started...First to make this real easy Cry Laughing or at least a little bit easier, take some good pictures of the machine. Inside and out. So we can see what brackets, componets, harnesses and ect are missing or are there. The more the better. you can only attach 2 pictures per post, but you can post as many times as needed. We can accomplish what you want to do fairly easily. Parts is going to be the issue. We need to see what you need and what vendors have them for your price. I do not have all that you may require, but I do have connections with vendors here that do supply quality parts at the right price I can guide you to. Lets start with as many detailed pictures as you can of the area where the bill validator, cash can housing, ticket printer and general overall of the machine to get us started.

And Welcome to the board !! applause

I am a new member and just acquired a Bonus Frenzy slot with a free play mod but without the ticket printer and bill validator.  My machine is identical to one pictured above.  I have already purchased a printer and bill validator with transport and cash box.  Any guidiance on how to correctly install these would be appreciated.  My machine has the leave in mains in it.  I am not new to electroinics and computers but just a rookie when it comes to slots.  Thanks Ted

OK, Again..nobody want to touch this one..

1st problem is I have not seen a set of Leave in mains that support the printer past the first ticket being printed without being hooked up to a TITO system. So you will need to get a regular set of mains and a set of clear chips. Next I need to know what Bill acceptor you have. WBA / MEI / Mars ect and what software version it has if label is on it. And did your printer come with the brackets, power supply and harness.

Pictures of everything again would help with these answers...And Yes we can get you going.

The printer is a Future Logic Ticket Printer Model PSA-66ST from Rudys.  The bill validator I have not received yet but was told it was Mars.  I will try and post pictures as soon as get this all together.  I guess step one is to buy a set of mains and clear chips.  I need some guidiance as to where these may be purchased.   Scratch Head  Thanks for your help on this  Ted

You are missing a lot more parts. I will need to see the parts you receive to answer what you will need. As far as the mains I can supply them when the time comes for that.

OK  Received my printer today for my S6000.  Here are several pictures of it.  I am not sure where the cables are attached to the slot.  I think the black plug goes to the spare RS232 port on the backplane but I am not sure of the others.  Any help would be appreciated.

This is the red circled one, it plugs into the power pack wire.

Printer worked great on 1st ticket and now it will only do a handpay instead of printing.  You are right about the leave in mains.  Will wait to tackle that problem after the bill validator gets here.  Thanks again Ted

That's what happens with leave in mains. Go to 2003 mains.

The leave in mains came with the slot when I bought it.  I have located a set of 2003's and clear chips for it.  That should correct the problem.  I really like to ticket printer but wished you could put it back in the bill validator.  I guess it takes a TITO system to do this.  I have four slot machines and maybe that will be a project for the future.  Never worked on a Bally before and I am learning fast thanks for all the help from NLG site.   applause

If you run a TITO setup the leave in mains work.
If you do not have TITO you have to run the 2003's
