Title: Bally 6000 Mystery Connector
Post by: jdkmunch on February 10, 2009, 10:26:20 PM
This is a close up of the connector that is on the glass for the Diamonds and Devils game glass.

Does anyone know what this is or where it would plug into ?

It is 20 pins

It's unfortunate that it didn't come with the cable.  It would have made it easier.  I'll take a look through my literature but don't remember this one.

Thanks,
Wayne

Do those chips shed any light on this?

My wife has me working on something else, When she leaves the room I post.  Here is a similar top box board.  Please take some pics of yours, not just the connector, hopefully clear enough to see.  We'll dig a little more before you start plugging in wires, don't want to blow anything..  The 9 pin top box plug is likely the connection.  Please be patient, I know how it is with a new toy though........

Thanks,
Wayne

OK Wayne I think you are correct with the feature lights - Here are three pictures and from the back the board looks just like the your diagram.

One more picture.

I don't think the 5500 has a feature light connector

I dont know a whole lot about these but my guess is that that display has to be connected to some other small board, then in turn, from there - connected into the machines' top box wiring.
Someone , somewhere must have a picture of it completely hooked up and wired.
I hope they make a post here to help ya.

Can I ask, how many wires are actually in that top box molex connector...or , how many male/female pins are inside of the molex itself?
