An Addiction:)

« on: February 24, 2009, 01:25:23 AM »

OK...  Scratch Head  Trying to help someone out, but I'm not familiar with Bally slots, here is what he's dealing with: Has a Bally 3-reel (563M3CT60) with an "81" code.  Lights flash, coin just drops through.  I found that "81" is the battery.  Can the battery just be replaced (If so, where do I get one?)?  Should a "AA" battery setup be installed instead?  Do you need clear chips for this machine (If so, its out of my league), or can I go the jumper route?  Is this machine a 5500, 6000, etc??  TIA

That is a Ballt S5500 machine.  The battery is a 3.6 volt lithium AA battery, Changing them is easy if you are skilled with a soldering iron.  I have seen a few battery changes that weren't pretty. The vendors at the top of the page should be able to supply a battery.
The mains determine whether or not you need a clear chip. Jim at Bluridge Slots has clear chips.
There is a manual in the submit files section that you can download.
