Are the motors a normal item to be taken out and replaced?

I wonder why they would have been removed.

Because the transport was fairly new and they cost about $85 a pair new (CORRECTED) but in an old Happ flyer they were over 60 ea plus the gears

It's not nuts. Have you ever priced a new slot machine? 10-12K would be a good price. Have you ever considered how much conversion kits cost new from the manufacturer that we expect to get for $150 or less? These machines and the parts made by secondary suppliers (like JCM) are meant to be sold to businesses who will use the product to generate revenue, not to consumers. A price of $125 wouldn't even raise an eyebrow.

I believe a new complete WBA is around $650, I would have to look
That's nuts!  How much does a whole transport cost?

Current AGE catalog price $490 for the transport and $362.75 for the head, no I doubt they have sold many, but I will tell you a UBA -10 is just about a $1000 for a unit today

I can understand the $400 price for the new transport.   That is specificaly machined for a slot.
In my opinion $125 for a common motor is expensive.  At least from what I see in the picture they look like standard - like they could have many uses other than a slot machine.    Maybe there is some secrete mojo in there I don't know about...  Anyway were talking NEW.

Does anyone on the site have a new slot??   It would be cool to see some pictures.  I wonder if they have new slot smell  Scratch Head

I originally said $125 for the set, I went by an old Happ flyer, it was over 2 years old, I looked them up and corrected the post to say $85 for the pair, one was just under 43 and the other just under 42, not that I have ever bought one at that, and seldom replace them, but I did for you since your transport looked so good, many things are marked up in the gaming field by suppliers it appears, more of a convenience I believe

It's just like everything else. The price goes way up when it's intended for commercial use. Back in 2000 the company that I worked for had to pay over $3000 for a PieceOfS-- DOS software program because it was the only way to accomplish the task at hand. It involved sensitive data exchange with another company and was the only approved software for the job; we had no choice, and the company that sold the software knew that of its product and priced it accordingly. Still, the truth is that it was petty cash for us and didn't even require approval, since we were spending over $3 mil on server hardware and software anyway. However, if I were a consumer and had wanted that software for some reason, I'd have been incensed over that ridiculous price.

but I will tell you a UBA -10 is just about a $1000 for a unit today

I just got a couple of the UBA 10s I like the fact that they can be upgraded through the USB port in the front, expensive but so are the WBA21 heads. NOTE the UBA10 is a combined transport and head unit and requires a different housing.

Thanks,
Wayne
