I'm not sure if this can be done but I picked up a few kits for my S6000
which is 9in chop top, the kits I found are 16in seems I cant find 9in glass for the kits
so my question is can you swap out the top ? has anyone done this ? any info or tips would be great
if the fact is I can change to 16in I would be looking to buy another top for my 9in
or just another 16in S6000 without a kit. Thanks Tim

On the IGT's you can change the top just by removing 4 bolts. This allows you to go to a round top or 16". The usual complication is that the external aborite is usually one piece.
Not sure what the best tool is to cut this. I suspect that the Bally is made the same as they both came from the same original design.

Thanks Jay I only took a quick peek at it but I didnt see any bolts inside holding it together
but rather some sort of clip type tab not sure waiting for someone else to chime in on that
on the outside of the cab you can see where the top and bottom separate so I know it must come apart
just need to know it ifs worth my time to get a top or a whole machine(wife would love that) knowing
I wore that excuse out. Last one I promise !!!!!

On the IGT side not all 9" and round tops measure the same, not sure on the 16".  The actual height differences on the tops would depend on your tracking bar which would be.... no tracking bar, just small glass holder strip, 2" or 3" bars.   sorry no help on the S6000  frying pan

Yes you can swap tops on an S6000.  I have changed from 9" to round top on these.  There are machine screws at the corners, sometimes with nuts underneath, and you also need to remove the glass latch/ meters.  once you start to look at it you'll find it is easy.  Finding the 16" top may be more of a challenge.

Thanks,
Wayne

Hello Wayne, After taking a closer look I see the screws doesn't look that hard to change out
thanks for the input.

I also have a thread on wanting to buy a 16in top hope its not to hard to find one.
