Am getting Door error message on 3 machines so I tried the MPU from one of my working machines. I decided to put one of those machines back together, now  it wont boot up. It goes through  the motions then the red light on the mpu goes out and it just sitts there forever, spinning its reels, just like the ones in my garage!!

Any thoughts? And, what is that single 32 leg eprom in the MPU used for?

32 pin Eprom, 27C801 is the Bios on the 512mb CPU Alpha 1 Boards

My Thoughts.... Turn Game on and GO AWAY from machine for 15 minutes, all the times you have posted you seem impatient, it take 9:45 to 13:30 (Min/Sec) to boot using the older processors. Every new Bally Alpha owner thinks it is a problem, it is not, I know you have had others and I know you have a 1GB board that is faster but that is not what you are trying now if you have a 32 pin Bios. also the Bios and OS must match as well as the Clear to the OS.

My thoughts are that the Alpha is a disaster of a platform for you because you don't take peoples advice. This is from your previous post of going to scrap game after changing every part and doing the same exact thing as it is now, just power it up and walk away from it go get a drink at the store and see what that does for you

Can't I just get rid of the converter boards and just use CF cards? If there are any for 5 Line Mystic Lamp with top box display, Bonus Times, and 2 others...???
