Title: Help with Mikohn display
Post by: wwsme on July 11, 2011, 09:36:14 PM
Hi,

I better explain myself before I ask my question! I am involved with a miniature railway and have been given some Mikohn CHAM2 12 Cell Mini displays.
I would like to use them to display the speed of trains around our track.

Does any one know how to drive the above display from a computer of some sort? I have traced the broads and know they are serially driven but do not know anymore at this stage.
Can anyone help me with circuit diagrams?

Thanks in advance.

They are progressive displays. the serial port is to program the progressive values needed (start, maximum, current and increment amounts) and to configure the controller for the particular game machine it is connected to (IGT, Bally, etc)
