Title: Sigma uv1700 - Game Install Error - Ripley's
Post by: slvrsufr on April 11, 2011, 06:20:46 PM
I have a Sigma uv1700 slot machine which is currently running the Battleship game.  The machine has been working great and last month I bought the chip and software to convert it to the  Ripley's Believe it or Not game.

I successfully cleared the machine with a clear chip, installed the game chip and CD. The machine checks the CD contents fine then goes through all the loading pages, but when the Ripley's game is just about to finish starting an error comes up "Main File Hash Invalid" and then the machine stops loading the game.

The 1700 manual says to try switching the power off and restarting which I did a couple times and got the same error. I clear the machine again and reloaded Battleship game which started and played just fine. I've gone through the procedure a couple time and still get the error.

Has anyone else gotten this and do you know a fix? Or does someone have a copy of the Ripley's game I could try instead of the copy I have now? I've contacted the people I got the Ripley's software and chip from and they don't have any answers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You might have corrupted software. Did you format the disk-on? How much memory do you have on the board? Normally you would get 'insufficient memory' but I haven't seen the fault message you have. Do you have any way to verify the checksum on the game chip?
