Title: Gamemaker Tournament Play
Post by: rma on October 05, 2008, 06:32:48 PM
How do I set up my Gamemaker 7200 for Tournament play.  The manual I have has no setup instructions for Tournament play in the Configuration section.   Thanks Dave rma42

Dave,

I think in order for tournament play, a second key switch needs to be installed and connected to "keyswitch 2" labelled wires(to reset). You must set tournament to "On" during Ee prom settings, and you need specific tournament game eprom(Stars & Bars Slot Z7340,Video Poker P0461, Keno K0034). There may be more. Perhaps others can chime in.

I know tournament play is referenced to the module 12 manual, but I have never seen that module.

Thanks, Richard and good Karma to you!!  I installed  the second switch and set up for Tournament play after doing a total clear.  Every game I have tried has worked in the Tournament mode.  Dave-rma

Dave-

That's good news. I have never tried the tourney mode. Is it timed or are a set credits added? The reason I mentioned the tourney games is the paybacks for these tourney eproms. The slot has a payback of 1958%, the poker 1492%, and the Keno 2514%. High scoring guaranteed. 5 coin poker pays 1000 for a full house!

I was hoping someone would find chapter/module 12 in the back of a file cabinet as it is/was probably rarely used in the casino environment. I have stayed at a casino that used the Gamemaker for Tournaments. Gone now though. Makes me want to try it as I have the Poker chip only, and I think I'll use a simple toggle switch for reseting.

Hi Richard,   Tournament play can be set up as kitty (cash), timed or both.  The kitty allows you to input a cash amount.  The full amount of the max. wager for the game is subtracted from the kitty on each spin.  Winnings are totaled separately.  You can select as many games as you wish up to 10 for tournament play with a timed pause between each game.  My grandkids were up this weekend and I set it up as timed only with 3 games at 3 mins. each with a 1 min pause between games.  That worked great for them.  Tournament play is a fun way to play without having to feed the machine.  To activate tournament play after you have configured the machine turn the second key and tournament play will start.  To return to regular play turn the key again. *Note any momentary key or push button switch will work, or you can remove the two wire to the reset switch and install the two wires labled key SW two.   Dave rma

The only module 12 tournament play I've seen is for the Pro 6000.  It is attached.
