I have 3 JCM200 bv heads - 1 has flash memory (tag says ID044P/45P  V2.50-05 )  the other 2 which are JCM200-a344 use a standard eprom - the eprom in one is a 27c040 the other did not have one - I was told that the eprom should be a 27C4001 and have the code to go with that eprom.  The application are Bally Pro 5500 slots and a Pro Poker.  ALSO  -  I have a DBV145-SG with a D340 prom.  same application..    All 3 machines cycle but do not accept bills - the bit switchs on the SLOT boards is correct 25c and internal JCM.
do I have the wrong software?

Barry,   the IDO44 is  right  for Bally machines,  the "sh"  versus the "ss" (IGT)  is the physical difference between the permanent mounted bill opening versus the IGT configuration that you can install the bill input guide.

You can test the heads out of the machine. this would eliminate one area of concern. you need a power supply from a IGT ( the one mounted on the side of the bill acceptor) and a modified power input cord to apply 110 vac to the power supply. you can look at the connector in the IGT machine and you will see the two wires that supply the 110vac.  then you set your second bank of switches on the 200 head for stand alone test and you can run money through the bill head for as long as you like. If you have cal. paper this is a good time to calibrate as well.

Did the standalone test - power supply to head - bank 2  switch 6 on - power up -  switch 6 off - head cycles - accepts bill - rejects blank paper - all 3 heads function in standalone.
in machines - NONE of them will accept bills.  machine starts up - transport cycles - but head is dead.  PRO 5500s - both slot and poker.   mpu board bit switch set for jcm Internal - connected to motherboard -  cherry switch for bv door is closed.   what now?  thanks.
