Jason, just buy a cheap used set of reels and scrap them for the parts

A cheap used set of reels for parts would probably cost what I paid for this set.  I have a set of reels for each of my kits...I should be ok.  I hate taking strips on and off when I change kits, so I just thought it might better to have a set of reels for each kit.  However, my wife doesn't like me monopolizing storage to accomodate 21 reels.  Smiley

Jason, you should be able to change the strips out rather quickly. If you are going through the trouble of changing the glass, etc, just do the strips as well. I can do them in 3 min flat.

Yeah, I just don't like peeling them on and off.  A few of mine didn't have very good adhesive on them and I ended up putting a spot of glue on them, therefore, to avoid damaging them, it's a one time deal.  Plus, the quick plug and play is nice.

If I had some dough and space - I get extra reels as well.  yes
I ruined a perfectly good set of Double Diamond washable backlit reel strips as the bloody backing peeled off!!!!!! banghead Pull Hair
The adhesives on some of the original strips were far too strong.
I prefer not to use any adhesive at all if possible.

If the strip "bulges" slightly where they come together, the problem
really is that the basket is slightly too tight there or the strips are slightly too wide.
However, sometimes the back lit strips are just of a too thick gauged vinyl to fit into
the basket rim grooves correctly at the overlap area... no
