How hard is it to convert S2000 from non backlit to backlit reels?

Not hard really but you really have to watch what you're buying.
If you're just swapping out the wide strips and reels - all you need is the wide reels
and backlit driver board & harness.

But...if you're swapping out 5-reelers, be careful on the reel basket widths...some are slightly wider or narrower.
It sucks if you get the wrong ones and your strips don't fit.
Also, the reel shelve slots or nibs and reel mounts can differ so watch out there too!

tell us what you are converting specifically so there is less confusion for you.  for example, if you're simply converting a 3 reel game from nonlit to backlit, it won't be so bad at all!

Ok good, so there are a few members here that could probably sell you a conversion kit - 3 backlit reels with harness and the backlit controller. I see them on ebay all the time as well. Or just post an ad in the classifieds if you wish.  I'm hoping your new game kit has the backlit strips (the back of the strips are black/gray).

Let us know if you get to a conversion kit or if/when you need help hookin it up  yes
