I'm considering purchasing my first 2000 machine and am thinking a haywire machine will showcase the machines abilities nicely.  What do you guys recommend as the best haywire game?  Haywire, Haywire Deluxe, Double Diamond Haywire, Triple Diamond Haywire, Sizzling Sevens Haywire or something else?  Thanks in advance

Your best bet for the most haywires would be the original haywire or the deluxe, those double and triple diamond haywires suck ass IMHO. Double haywire just doesn't haywire enough for me.

I agree with Brianzz. I have a Haywire Deluxe and it haywires all the time and has lots of small pays to keep you happy. I played Double Jackpot Haywire at a casino and didn't see a haywire in 20 minutes of play. hissy fit

But the Haywire glass is so ugly!  Are the reel strips and paytables the same for the S+ and 2000 Haywire deluxe game?

Don't Worry, you know I have you covered on this, the Paytables are the same between platforms, some strips are offset different, but even if you decide to go with a theme that has different strips for the S-2000 you can always use a SS chip in the S-2000 with the proper stuff, so you could put the existing custom games you have in the S-2000 if you wanted to

Just my opinion, but the in my mind the 4 Wild Thing games (Black Leather, Cigar, Devil, and Country) are the best Haywire type S2000 game available.  Technically they are not a "haywire" but have a similar and unique "Frenzy" game function.  The music and sound from the MMlite sound expansion card far surpasses anything you are going to get from any regular Haywire game.

And I don't think too many people will argue with me that the glass is far more "attractive"...pics below for your viewing pleasure.

If you can dream the theme you can have a custom glass and reel set printed to your specification. You simply provide the paytable number, graphics and they do it up for you. The cost is around $160 + shipping.
For some of the rarer titles we have done group buys of Haywire Deluxe and 9line Triple Diamond.....

I had thought about getting a Haywire done up with pictures of the family but that left me with a quandry - do I use the motherinlaw for the haywire symbol or the wife. I just cannot determine who is less stable.....  rotflmao

Who does the glass and reel printing for you?  They do backlit reels too?

I am not sure about the back lit but I would suspect so.

Hello all!

One of my favorite themes that I own and have installed in a S2000 machine is Go Bananas.  This is a S+ theme/chip and actually uses the same SS chip as Haywire.  I think the graphics are great and I love the yellow colored reel strips.  I also have a Multimedia board with generic simm installed so I get the great Haywire sounds....

I designed my own "Haywire Deluxe" theme for my S+.  I named it Short Circuit before I knew of the WMS game so I guess I'll never be able to sell the kit.  That's OK, I like playing it.  I've decided to go with the Haywire Deluxe theme for the S2000 box too so I can enjoy all the new bells and whistles.  I'll probably use the same glass too and print the reel strips on semi-transparent material to see how the backlighting looks.

One more question regarding S2000 versions of Haywire (Deluxe) vs say Double (Triple) Diamond Haywire, is the frequency of a haywire significantly less with the Diamond Haywire themes than the regular Haywire themes and are the sound effects (coin in, spin, haywire and payout) any better/worse with one theme than the other.

As far as the statistics go, I can't advise you on the S2000 if you use S2K chips because I have very little documentation on it and don't own one. (You can use the older S+ chips, but that's a different topic.) I suspect that you are right because generally, the higher the multiplier, the less frequent the payouts. Keep in mind that a Haywire event is, in actuality, a dressed up multiplier hit. So if the jackpot symbol doubles payouts as well, then there will almost certainly be fewer haywires.

I'll leave it to the S2000 experts to confirm this and to answer your sound question.
