I have a 2000 that has WBA bill acceptor in. It is very slow. I tried transport & head from a good working machine with same results.
any advice on what problem might be.

No difference. It's slow as soon as bill starts to enter. I thought belts might be problem so I switched units with no improvement.
Will have to look @ it some more.

Wow Ford that is strange.  Aside from what Buzz suggested, swap out an entire WBA assembly (housing, can, transport, head).  Painful, I know, but I can't imagine what else it could be.

Switched complete unit & it works. Have to go over this one now that it's out & see what I can find.
