Just have a couple of  drinking whiskey Plastered Buddies, that'll take care of the bounce.  Tongue Out

I doubt that using new reels motors would fix the bounce.
Maybe new baskets might fix it.
Since the bounce is caused by reel stepper drivers on the MPU.
Compare the feel of the motors to another s2000 reel and see if you can feel a difference in them just to be sure.
The reel baskets are bit more flexiable on back lit reels compared to standard reel.
The right side can shimmy inline with the rotation as well as move up down forward and back a smidge as well. more than a standard reel basket.
and the back lighting may make the bounce easier to notice.
I have not had a standard reels in my s2000 for some time to compare.

Well, let's face it; there's not much to do about the bounce, unless it's the result of damaged or weakened components, which is most likely not the case.

My question for you staz is this>>>

Do the reels bounce when the machine is at "idle" or when the reels become to a stop?

If the reels are bouncing while the machine is at rest...
the problem may lay with oxidized reel stepper harness pins.

Or the reel resistors on the reel boards are going out of specifications
and may need to be replaced.
However, that involves board level repairs which I'm not sure you are familiar with?

If the reels are doing a little bounce when they come to a stop after a regular spin -
then I would say that's pretty normal.
Also, the heat inside of the machine may be too high?
I'm only guessing when I say that your exhaust fan is not working?
The excessive heat may be softening the plastic reel baskets to a pulp fiction... rotflmao
What is the temperature inside of your machine around the reel glass area? very hot

70 degrees? You're only guessing right? lol...
I don't think any machine is 70 degrees internally unless it's OFF - inside a warm house.  Tongue Out

At warmer temperatures, a little bounce is nice!
When it's cooler, it's a much more pointed issue!

Given the male/female ratio on NLG, I'm guessing that TZ's old avatar is very well backed up. Crazy Cry Laughing Cry Laughing Cry Laughing
