Title: monitor -ceronix 1493 out of focus -swapping fly-backs
Post by: azgamingslots on July 17, 2012, 12:34:58 AM
have a couple 1493's that continue to change focus (screen goes blurry after an hour or so) however since ceronix doesn't support of have parts for them anymore.
will a fly-back pulled from a 1492 or 1490 work as an adequate swap?

Flybacks are made to match the crt not the chassis

I away thought and was told that Ceronix would repair 1492 & 1493 Ceronix if they were sent in? I know we're still able to buy the 1492's, and I have a friend who repairs video machines that sends them in regularly.. Maybe they are not selling repair parts, but someone should sell the flybacks for your 1493.. Let me ask around tomorrow...

i have a bunch of old 1492 boards laying around, if i can rob parts like flybacks off them it will save $$
