I have a CC 16 in the Universal and have it set up to take nickles.
The problem that I am having is it will take the nickles for a while and then they just start threw.
I have to open the door, re-seat the nickle in the Comparitor and it will work for a while. (Maybe 25-30 nickles and have to do it all over again)
Is there something I need to tighten up or is it old and I need a new one?

Thanks for the help!

Help Is the spring weak that holds the sample coin in comparitor?  If it is let me know and I will stick one in this envelope I'm sending.  Buzz

The spring is real tight. I am going to try to Q-tip clean it but I think it is just worn out.
I bet I will end up having to get a new one and the small wire harness that goes to it.

Thanks Buzz for looking out for me! I can't wait for that 9 on 9 envelope to come. LOL!

Have you tried turning the sensitivity down? Or at least turn the dial back and forth a few times in case the pot is not making good contact.
