Buzz,
Me and my buddies qualified to play in the final Championship in August
near Ft. Drum, Watertown, NY in the SMGA (Salute Military Golf Association).
This is an organization that raises money for wounded veterans we call "The Wounded Warriors" golf tournament.
I got into because my son (Who's stationed in Anchorage,Alaska AFB) told me about it.
I grabbed my best friends Jamie Lyons and Mike Jacobs to play in this...
Mike brought in Wes Benedict and we shot 12 under par!!!

The first place guys shot 13 under par so we got our work cut out this coming August!!!
I wanted to share this with ya.

Thanks guys...
I met one of these remarkable young Wounded Warriors from Virginia who played golf with only one leg!
Jeesh!
I miss my son pretty bad and he was on my mind all that day...he was out near Afghanistan...
I sent him that picture as soon as I got home.
He made it back home later on to his AFB - safe & sound!!!

Anyways, me and the guys are going down to Watertown soon for a practice round-
to get a feel for the golf course.
We want to do the best we can in August!!
