Talked to the wife and she let me get my new toy and X-mas present.  She said maybey I won't buy/spend as mush time with the slot "sheet" then.  I said that is not going to happen-- no.  She gave me the "approval" anyway to pacify my mid-life crisis I am going thru-- Silly Me!.  I once was about 10-12 years ago in the buy/sell of these and had over 30 plus(Vettes) and was deeply in the mustang business -have had over 600 of those with a picture of every one of them.  Anyway I am not in those business's anymore and this is just my toy to enjoy.  Thought I would share-B.

Nice vettes  applause Clap.  I am more into Harleys, my only cage is a 98 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually with a V10 that we did a little engine work to.  Would love to take on a Vette one day, if I lose you can always load the vette in the back and take both vehicles home.  Cry Laughing

You'll be like me. Got to old & stiff in joints to ride my Harley. Now I'm to stiff to get into a Vette.

That's what I had on mine. It has a great sound at lower RPM, but to tell the truth, the Corsas sounded better at higher RPMs. Another member of our Corvette club and I tried them out side by side. If I had it to do over, I'd have bought the Corsas. On the other hand, my car was instantly recognizable in the group, because I was the only member with Borlas. Several members commented once that they knew I was arriving while my car was still down the block. rotflmao

In either case, they do add horsepower, but I also used a Predator programmer to add a performance tune and a larger air intake with smoother airflow, so I don't know how much extra HP came from the exhaust and how much came from the tune and intake. I also chose to override some of the default settings in the Predator and enrich the fuel and advance the timing just a bit more at both the mid and upper ranges of RPMs.

My C5 (default 350hp) Dynoed out at 420hp on all three pulls, using the type of Dyno that connects directly to the rear wheels (they remove the tires). CRS prevents me from remembering the name of the Dyno machine.  Duh!  I thought that was pretty impressive, considering that I didn't pay for a customized performance tune from a shop and chose to go with the "one size fits all" Predator tune.

The LS1, LS2, and LS7 engines really have a lot more power than Chevy delivers from the factory, so it's easy to get a lot of extra horsepower with just a few modifications.

Another suggestion: get rid of the run flats. I debated between the Michelins and the Goodyear GS-D3's and went with the Goodyears, mostly because they had a bad-a** tread that looked very cool, IMO.  Cool Thumbs-Up

The GS-D3's were not only much less expensive ($1100 for a set on the C5 compared with $1900 for the default Goodyear Eagle F1 run-flats), they were rated for wet and dry weather, ran much quieter than the stock tires, and were MUCH stickier when cornering. I really noticed an improvement in the car's performance when I put them on. propeller

Barry, you'd have to do your own research for the C6 equivalents. stir the pot / get cooking

<ADD> Here's a picture of the tires and exhaust.

I had one that would do the same thing. The guy had a remote start installed. Disconnected remote start & no more problem.
Did not get into it to see why it drained battery.

Why is it that the machine next to you is always the one that hits big one.
