I have a pe+,  it isn't really a problem cause the reputable dealer (that will probably read this) is trying to get things right but she is killing me in shipping fees.  Anyway,  my pe+ started displaying green as seen in the photo.  The cards shown are burn-in and not an actual game although if you play an actual game,  you can hear it is playing correctly but not displayed in any manner on the screen.  My slot machine distributor had me send it in and she said that she rebuilt the chassis and it worked fine for about a week then green again.  She sent me a replacement but that one had such a bad high pitched flyback noise that I was afraid people would start committing suicide if I left it in so I sent that back.  She now wants me to send in my 'green' monitor again so she can put her picture tube on my chassis and hope that solves the problem.  My question is.... could this actually be the picture tube itself doing this?

Could it be it is jealous cause my Big Bertha is working still?? (confused,  do a search for Big Bertha here)

If your monitor is a Ceronix 1492 (most are) the problem is probably the green PRA (81G &/or 83G) are probably shorted...or your CRT may be defective.  Anyway if you feel like looking some old notes click on;

ok,  my green problem stopped and I got this new problem that is a white rectangle zooming in and out on the screen,  it can be seen in the video link below (give it a minute,  it is kinda big), it is very hard to describe.  So I sent it back in and April send me a complete different monitor/chassis.  Ok great,  worked for about a month now I get the same video problem with the rectangle box until about an hour after warmed up then it is beautiful.  It is getting kinda pricey sending this monitor back in,  any ideas what is causing this?

I had this problem with a monitor out of a PE+ slant top, the problem in ours was one of the filter caps was bad, and the monitor was trying to power up and then shutting right back down. Changed out the caps and the problem was gone. if your monitor has the 1492 ceronix board in it, it is the 2 caps at position 256 & 257 and they are 150uf@250V Caps. After the caps warm up a bit they will start to work but initially they will not.
