I just recently purchased 2 s2000 machines with enhanced MPU boards, and I am wondering which key chip and clear chips are needed for those boards.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Key 45 is the recommended key chip but I have no issues using a key 31
Clear 223 and 224 is also the recommended clear chips
This is for enhanced MPU using the legacy adapter

if you have an Flash Board (a R Board) with with a boot and base chip you need to use different key and clear chips.

An enhanced board using a R-Board daughter card uses a single chip for both clear and key procedures called a RBK1...I think there's an RBK2 out there also, not sure what its for, I've never needed it.

How can I determine if mine is the r board or a different one?  My board has a seperate board attached to the main mpu that has sockets for base, ss, vs, display, audio SIMM, and gm 1, 2, 3, and 4

For that setup you'll be wanting a 224 clear and 45 key.

Thanks for the help.  Now I just need to check and see if I have what I need to make those chips myself or if I have to find them to purchase.

Where can I purchase a key 45 and clear 223 and 224?  I am having an S2000 Double 3X4X5X delivered soon and the seller says he will give me the key 31.  Would like to try the key 45 which is what is recommended.

Thanks,

Rick (a newbie)
