I have the same chips in my Triple Bonus Frenzy.  I think you're being generous callin' it 83%.   Mine is to tight that...well never mind  bust gut laughing  Did you find anything that pays better than this lousy set?

WOW!  where is 83% legal?  Nevada is a minimum of 88%   that sounds like a chipset for a Indian casino.....

Good question.  When I get back home I'll have to try to see if there's enough gaming tape left on it to see where it was at.  I usually peel as much of that stuff as I can so you can read the numbers below it, and so that dust/dirt doesn't get stuck to it.

Kirk, when was the law changed in Nevada? It used to be 75%. If you can still find a large board keno game or a video keno game with a 1 spot ticket, then the 75% rule still applies, since there is no other way to pay the 1 spot (1 in 4 odds; pays 3 for 1). I have seen Bally EMs -- particularly models with the lightning strips -- that have had payouts in the high 70's.

All the "Indian" casinos are really just a "storefront" for the state they operate in.
They are strictly regulated and totally owned by the state.
Because they fall under the NIGC regulations  ( a Federal entity) ...try getting a copy of the
percentages of the chips...It's like pulling hen's teeth.
The "Indian" casinos around here happen to use
chips that fall anywhere between 90.2% to 98.5%.
The casinos in Nevada,NJ and riverboats use chips that are harder to win on than here.
Why? Corporate taxes.
The "Indian" casinos are a loop hole in the tax laws for the "Apple Indians"
or "Indian Wannabees"... rotflmao

We've had this conversation before -- in Minnesota, the state doesn't get a penny from the Native American casinos (aside from under-the-table lobbying money and the like).  The state compact in Minnesota does not provide for a cut of the profits.

The only other number on the chips are the checksums.  U18 = 5D00 & U20 = 22A3.  If it's in the file I can check that if you have the address where it's located.  The machine's last home was in Atlantic City.

We may share the same (apparently not so readily available) chipset, but that doesn't necessarily mean that our machines came from the same jurisdiction.  Mine had a "MEAL" ticket book in it, so no doubt where it was before I got it.  I still like to find something with a better payout then what we have, whatever that may be.
