Title: Ami-Rowe Cd 100-e (speaker noise from amp)
Post by: machfelon on March 04, 2012, 01:08:28 PM
My AMI-Rowe CD 100-e just started having an issue.

It always had a low hum from the amplifier when on but it wasnt noticeable.  Now after adding more CDs yesterday it is currently emitting a loud static from the right speaker while plugged in.  Even with jukebox off it makes this loud static noise.  While songs are playing you cant really notice it but when the song stops its still there.  What adjustments could I make to it to prevent this noise?  Its in the same position in the room and no other machines were on to give it interference.

Should it be plugged in all by itself possibly and not on a power strip?

the power strip could be the problem. when i used to DJ at some bars and clubs i would get a hum also but i used a lot of power strips with lighting and amps pluged in so i got some of the plugs the did a way with the ground not sure what there called. i used to get them at the dollar store 2 for a buck walmart lowes any where sells them. might want to try that and see what happens. if that dont help the amp might be getting weak
