I need a new bill acceptor for my game maker. I know it is a WBA 13. I don't need the stacker.

The question is can I go on eBay and order any WBA 13 or does it need to be programmed special for a game make?

It's been 5 days and no help.  don't know where the experts are so I will try to help and then they can post as to how wrong I am and that way you will receive the help you ask for.

No you can not use just any Bill acceptor. Each machine manufacture uses a different IDO ( program ) You can use a WBA 12 or 13 in your Bally's If I'm correct the 12 has the IDO flashed using a programmer. and a WBA 13 has the IDO on a eprom located in the bottom of the transport. Flip it over and you can see it.

I'm not 100% sure what you mean about a "stacker"  if your referring to the cash can OK, if your referring to the transport how do you know it's anygood. My limited experience is most times with a WBA the head is OK and the transport is the item that needs help. ( but not always )

This Pic. shows the head and transport separated. There is a small lever in the front that releases the head from the transport.

WBA 101 is now in recesses. I've taught you everything I know and you still don't know anything,  Sorry

Very good lesson Mr Buzz, but you never know, he may have had been contacted about who sells them, most likely better product than what is on eBay, you know latest correct software update, cleaned, calibrated and tested. not like that "should work" stuff for a few bucks less that has been on ebay in the past
