I have the Bally Gamemaker and am trying to change the denomination.  I have the clear ram chip installed and the menu is showing. How do I get the menu to move down ? if is currently setting on the Current Jurisdiction "Not selected" . Now don't know where to go from here.

I want to change the denomination from .25 to .05 and change a couple of the games.

Triple Trouble from 1 coin per line to max of 5 coins per line. (max 25 coins)
Prince of Persia from a max of 180 coins to 90 coins (10 coins per line)

PRESS START BUTTON (Bet 5 credits) TO CHANGE SELECTION
TURN KEY SWITCH TO LOCK A SELECTION
It should say this on the screen.  Did you switch dip 7 and 8 for this?

Thanks,
Wayne

Yes I did move the SW1 (7-8) switches toward the back of the board. I can change the Current jurisdiction from Not selected, but cannot get it to move to the next selection with changing Curren jurisdiction. I have pressed the "Start" button and that does change the selections but none of the selections need to be changed. All I want to do is change the denomination and a couple of the games.

Wayne,
I'm assuming "Turn Key Switch" is the Jackpot reset. Is that correct ?  (it only turns clockwise)

yes the jackpot reset switch, this keyswitch normally turns 1/4 turn clockwise.  It's just like pressing a switch for each turn.  once you turn it, you can do the next setting.

Thanks,

the settings can't be "none" and need to be set to something.  If the setting is ok, then just turn the key to go to the next.

Thanks,

Currently the first selection is "Jurisdiction: Not Selected". If I use the "start" button it does change it but I dont know what is correct so was wanting to leave it as it was originally.  Since I don't know what any of these parameters should be I did not want to change them.  There are 16 setting and I dont know what is the correct value for any of them.

Just turning the Jackpot key does not move me to another selection or allow me to go to the next selection.

Slotsavegas, these settings are reset every time that you do a clear. You are not seeing the settings that you had previously, so the concept of "leaving them the way they are" does not apply. You must go through the list and set them again, as you will need to do each time that you clear the machine (which you will do when you want to change games down the road).

Follow a69mopar's settings. Here they are again with a couple of notes that I've added in bold:

CURRENT JURISDICTION: one
PRIMARY HOST: None
SECONDARY HOST: None
SAS VERSION: none
CHASSIS TYPE: upright or slant????
COIN ACCEPTOR: self explanitory (For the CC16D, the manual states that you should select the "COIN ACCEPTOR AND COD BOARD" option.)
BILL ACCEPTOR: probably wba if it's a V7200 where the cash can comes out the front, if it comes out the side(V7000), dbv  (Actually, it will probably read "JCM DBV")
PRINTER TYPE none
HOPPER TYPE:  ...
DOOR TYPE: If it is a V7200 it would be pulsed optic  (If it's a V7000, set it to "Mechanical")
DOUBLE DOWN: up to you (I advise you to set this to ON. That way, you can still turn DD on and off in the options menus for each game without doing another reset.)
TOURNAMENT: OFF  (Actually, it doesn't matter, because ON won't do anything unless you have tournament chips installed.)
EFT: DISABLE
SECONDARY DEVICE: NONE
RESIDUAL CREDIT MODE: play off
(Actually, here are the options from the manual. These options will only apply if you have Mains that allow tokenization and if you have set your machine up that way.)
<ADD> I prefer "Gamble or Attendant Pay" to give me all options, but it's a matter of personal preference.

Quote
Residual Credit Mode
If a machine is configured so that one coin registers
multiple credits (tokenization), it is possible to have
credits remaining after a cashout. The selections for
RESIDUAL CREDIT MODE refer to the disposition of the extra
credits. The choices are NO GAMBLE AND NO ATTEN. PAY,
ATTEN. PAY ONLY, GAMBLE ONLY, and GAMBLE OR ATTEN. PAY.

• The NO GAMBLE AND NO ATTENDANT PAY setting
forces a Player to continue playing until either the
remaining credits equal zero; or they equal the exact
value of a coin from the hopper.

• ATTENDANT PAY ONLY requires an Attendant to
remove the remaining credits from the machine by
turning the Audit key switch and paying the Player.

• GAMBLE ONLY enables a post game where all
residual credits are wagered on a win-lose outcome.
A win results in a coin from the hopper. A loss zeros
the remaining credits. A Player’s chance of winning a
coin is proportional to the residual credits wagered:

If a credit is 1/10th of a hopper coin,
gambling one credit offers a Player
a one-in-ten or 10% chance of
receiving a coin.

However, if nine residual credits are
left, the Player has a 90% chance of
receiving a coin for the residual
credits.

• GAMBLE OR ATTENDANT PAY provides the Player
with all options for resolving residual credits.

WIN EVALUATION PREFERENCE: legacy

these are all from rough memory....

Stat, his game is a V7000(mechanical) with a cc62 (coin acceptor only) and a JCM DBV(front mount).  The double down option is set to on, and play off= Gamble.  I know he put cc16, but it was a cc62.
Barry,
If you have a chance, post a pic.

OK,
Thanks to Wayne giving me a call I was able to get the machine denomination set to .05 rather than the .25 it was originally. I have played it and evrything seems to be working properly. When Wayne talked me through this I did notice that at one time it asked me if my game play denomination was .20 or .25
After tinkering with it a few more times to try and adjust the number of coins on the individual games ( which I never figured out) I now have only one choice for denomination. I think I must be able to set it up for at least two denominations ( .05 or .25 ) but I dont know how to go about that now. I don't have enough time to work on this tonight, so will check back in a couple of days to see if any of you can help me set it back up to accept multi-denominations, and how to change the "Triple Trouble" game from 1 coin per line to a bet of 1-5 coins per line.  and change the "Prince of Persia" game from a max of 20 coins per line to a max of 10 coins per line.

Thanks so much for all the help. I will get some pictures downloaded in a couple of days.

OK, Found out I still have a couple of problems I am hoping you all can help with.

I changed out the "Quarter" that was in the coin comparitor with a "Nickel" (it is in fact a CC62D) It is configured with the coin mechanisim on the left and a coin comparitor CC62D mounted to the right. I have a picture, but do not know how to upload it here. About 50% of the time I drop a nickel in the coin slot it falls straight through to the hopper without error, or registering a credit. About 25% of the time it registers one credit and the remaining 25% of the times it errors with a "Reverse Coin" error.
Anybody know what I need to do to correct this ?

And finally...... I thought I had a .05 cent label but after changing out everything I found that the only ones I had are for IGT slot machines and so will not fit the smaller Bally 1 1/2" high by 2 1/2" wide. If anyone happens to have a spare and is willing to part with it, let me know.

Thanks.

P.S. Found how to attach the photos... See attachments

Thanks kenokarz.

I loosened the nut and slid the bar to just slightly larger than a nickel and it is accepting nickels without failure now.

Really appreciate being on this site and having such a wealth of knowledge.

Anyone have a 5 cent label I can get hold of ???

Agree with Post    I had the same issue and this was the problem. It's odd that the adjustment is so critical, considering that the optic is in the center of the coin's path, but the opening has to be as tight as possible without actually restricting the coin for it to work properly.

<PS>Oops. I didn't see that you had already responded to kenokarz's suggestion.  Tongue Out

Here's a nickle label I knocked out of Photoshop with the dimensions you gave. Print it out on glossy paper, trim it if need be and attach to the back of the glass with clear tape.

Tacman, would you happen to have a 25ยข version? It's not something that I need personally, but it would be nice to add to our collective library of sticker images.
Thanks for posting the 5ยข for slotsavegas. applause

Ask, and ye shall receive! Denom labels for 1 cent, 25 cent, 50 cent and 1 dollar have been uplaoded to the Submit New File area.  wave These are in a 3" X 2" format, so minor trimming for install to the glass. Enjoy!! yes

 Dan (tacman)

Figured I would put them here as well.
