There are so many bulbs on the barcrest tops that they seem to go through in places and you can pretty much see the bulb filament Help. A solution to that is to cut a piece of opaque Matt film and put it over the areas that let the light through too much.  stir the pot / get cooking The opaque film acts as a filter especially on games like IGT BARCREST Run For Your Money where on the left side there are plenty of bulbs and the opaque film will also disperse any imperfections in the slot machine glass like small holes if not too large which makes the glass look nice and clean in fact awesome compared to the same glass without it. How do I know, I put it on the glass of that game and problem solved and I do have Matt film ,enough for a few people to try. Do not put it over the areas with clear glass. Let me know how it works for you. If someone would like to try it I will be happy to talk a few people through how it is done. applause
This will work on all glass belly top also with florescent lights as I said glass with small imperfections will have the light disperse and little holes in the theme become very hard to see. I will take a picture and post it so you can see.

I am posting later a before and after on one game (RUN FOR THE MONEY) and a surprise effect on a Barcrest Pinball. You seen in the Barcrest Pinball how aggravating the clear bulbs in the circle can be . Most dealers take them out but now.....Picture coming with Matt film on left side for the bulbs and a new surprise today. I have to take apart the machines to show everyone.

I put some Red and Blue Tivoli bulbs in the circle of my S+ Barcrest Pinball. They not only look great but tone down the lighting effect. I got the lights from Happ.

EBAY ITEM  grain of wheat bulb condom/cap/cover, that you can even put 2 layers to make it even softer light and I used 5 mm grain of wheat 28 volt so they would not be as bright as the 24 volt clear bulbs and I bought them on EBAY CHEAP 200 FOR ABOUT 10-15 DOLLARS from China. Below is the current ad

I have in the IGT Pinball Barcrest all blue DALE but after reading your post Me, too! I decided to try some red and blue and I think it looks great  applause we will let everyone decide for themself.blue, blue red, red, clear so please let us know. I will upload pictures also and here will be pictures of blue and red and blue  rotflmao. I will also show how I installed the Matt film in the top glass to stop the light from shinning through the left top side. I have new updates on my other posts so take a peek tomorrow or Saturday. I also put 3 mm bulbs 28 volt instead of the 5mm bulbs blue with covers and red bulbs.

Here's a simple and very cheap fix. PRESS N SEAL food wrap on the inside of the glass.  $3.00 for 75 foot roll.

This is what a roll of Matt window film you will find at Tint shops looks like and they will probably give you a piece for free  Scratch Head and it again it is called Matt or Frost window film. With this roll you can cover the biggest piece of slot glass made for a slot machine. I hope some of this information makes your slot machine look just the way you can give yourself more enjoyment and if you sell a machine you can give more choices and make more money. Just have one on display with the aquarium lights also.  SORRY I CANNOT UPLOAD THE PICTURE OF THE ROLL OPENED ACROSS 3 MACHINES. Just visit a tint shop. The Wave.

This is how many bulbs are behind most barcrest top and a picture of run for your money with Matt behind it. Oh I FORGOT ....VERY IMPORTANT THIS FILM CAN ALSO BE USED BEHIND almost any PINBALL MACHINE BACK GLASS. All the pinholes go away and in many cases you can keep your old translight. For example I bought a new translight for my wife's Gottlieb 911 but the vendor rolled it too tight and when It was installed it turned into a bummer  Silly Me!  Help as you were able to see the light from the light bulbs from the areas where the pinhole flakes came off. I put the Matt film on and my wife new back glass and she never knew there was a problem with the new translight because it diffused the light enough so all was well in my world. SAVED  applause

this material I use is 2 mil thick and is heat resistant and over time won't yellow. please send pictures of your solution on the glass of a machine so I can see. that material is very thin and the the screening material IGT uses breaks down over time, like on the reel strip glass especially. the material starts cracking. the material I used looks the same 4 years later now. if your way is truly better I will be happy to try it.
