I fished that one out. Then the BV kept alternating like it was ready, then not. It just sort of stuck in a "whirrrrrEEEEEEEwhirrrrrrrEEEEEEEEwhirrrrrrrEEEEEEEEE" cycle. The machine would still take nickels.

I made these videos to help troubleshoot the BV based on the sounds they make when powering up. But as noted above, you probably did not have the trasnport seated all the way, or the cash can in all the way.

And the below pictures to show how to open the head and transport to clean the belts and rollers. I use a product called belt-ease
available at most automotive stores or Walmart to clean the belts. The stuff smells bad and you don't want to get it in your eyes. I spray some in the can's cap and then use a q-tip to clean the belts. It does a good job. Don't get it or alcohol on the head optics or it can cloud the plastic lens. But you can use alcohol to clean the plastic rollers. I have found that some transports are just noisier than others no matter how well you clean them. As far as lube, I use servo grease found at most hobby shops for the nylon gears. Just a little is needed otherwise it will just attract dirt. Probably not a big issue in a home environment.
