Got two PE Plus keno games in. One was just the board and got it working on our tester after replacing the LM319 on the pen amp board.
The second was an entire PE Plus double screen keno game. Somebody had swapped his board and put his keno chips in it but he could not
mark any numbers after the board swap.

The two boards have the exact same IGT part number on them but the one that works has a small white tag indicating that it is revision "in"
while the board that doesn't work (can't mark numbers) has revision "c" on the small label.

We tried 4 different, know good, poker boards on the tester with the keno software installed and still could not mark any numbers.
None of those boards had revision "in" on them.

Is there something special about revision "in" boards that allows them to play a keno game?

If so what is this revision and can it be duplicated on a poker board?

Ha! I should charge a million bucks for the solution to this problem, but then i would have to pay taxes and NLG would want 50% Smiley

On PE+ boards there is always a 8 pin socket with nothing in it.
This socket requires a 6N137 opto-isolator to enable the keno pen read.
The UART chip is also required, yes, I know, I thought it was only for bill validator communications also.

I tried the same keno software on a super board and a regular board and with the 6N137 chip installed the pen wrote perfectly.
