My brother and I were trying to find out what slot machine was featured the the Twilight Zone episode "The Fever" where a couple go to Vegas and the husband is lured into playing a machine that has a 10000 dollar jackpot. The machine follows him up to his room and he jumps out of the window. With a little searching we found out it was a Waitling Rol-a-Top dollar machine. Then I watch "George Lopez" and his best friend Ernie has a slot machine with 16" glass in his apartment and it looks like "Dazzling Diamonds". Who would have made that machine or is it just a movie prop? Also, if you have seen or want to know about machines in the movies or TV, post it here. yes

Friends - had a vegas episode.
Candy and Allen won a big jackpot on a Berta machine in Vegas (2 & 1/2men).

LA Slots, and later Fannini were supplying prop slots to Hollywood - perhaps Ben can comment on his involvement.

That "Twilight Zone" episode sure has an eclectic collection of machines! I'd take the one on the left of the jackpot machine, the AC Multibell. Always wanted one of them. ALTHOUGH... I would ALSO have put everything I owned into the Rol-a-Top. Good grief, a 10,000 payoff on a single-coin machine with only 8,000 combinations?

Here's a link to a topic on Penny Machines, a British slot collectors site. They've dug up just about every clip of a slot machine in movies and posted them online. Lots of British TV programs though, with machines the NLG folk may not recognize.

Older movies, like those made before 1975, had a bit of a problem - they couldn't legally bring a slot to the studio in California to film it. Sometimes you see what are obviously empty cases with pictures of reels pasted in.

The show "Las Vegas" had a bunch of S+ machines with custom themes (glass and strips) as to not have copyrighted IGT themes on camera.  I recall they also had custom Montecito Casino toppers on some of the machines, which showed up on eBay a year or two ago, after the show had been cancelled.

A recent episode of CSI: Las Vegas was set in a Las Vegas bowling alley and had slot machines.  The episode was actually shot at AMF 300 Pasadena Lanes in Pasadena, California.  The slot machines were all pachislos (which, for me, took away from the "Las Vegas" image they were trying to establish).  A mechanic from the bowling center posted a number of "behind the scenes" pictures of the shoot, including some of the slot machines -- click here to see the pictures.
