Johnny Carson as a politician hooked up to a lie detector. It's a funny and true today as it was when he did the sketch.

I voted but the choice gets worse each election. They are ALL a bunch of liars. They are just for their party & friends. Since when is it that they don't work for the people anymore.
we need people like Joe the plumber running. In otherwords someone who is not involved with the click of a** holes.

The only way to not get screwed (by either side, they're both out to get us) is to mix 'em up and make sure no one party gets all the power. yes

Ferinstance, I voted Brown (democrap) for Guv (Whitman has a special history here in Silicon Valley, and we don't want no part of that, let me tell you!), then Maldonado (republicrap) for Lt. Gov. Libertarian on most others, except one republican that said he wanted to stop the OHV closures we are suffering from here in CA. I voted for Carly not Boxer, just because I can't stand Boxer and wish she would drop dead of a heart attack tomorrow if she wins the election, and Lightfoot the libertarian has said so many conflicting things about what she's going to do even she can't rtemember what her position is! She runs for any post that's open, though, her experience in politics is listed as "frequent candidate" in the voter guide.  bust gut laughing bust gut laughing

Bunker, if Obama hadn't been elected it would have saved us anywhere between half a trillion up to a trillion bucks just when the country can't afford it. I'm going to get my butt kicked by the "Cadillac Plan Tax" but at least my daughter can stay on the plan now. She doesn't get medical where she works because she's only part time (it's cheaper for them to hire 3 part time workers than 2 full time because of the "Employment tax"). And, she wouldn't be able to afford any medical insurance because she works part time, so she would be fined by ObamaCare for not being able to afford medical insurance. That's a great idea there, if someone can't afford med ins., let's fine them so they have even less money to live on! They're fricking broke to begin with! frying pan frying pan

And, the goddamn insurance companies are still running the show and making tons of money, and the doctors aren't, so we haven't really "fixed" anything.  Silly Me! Silly Me!

Oh wait, Rick Wagoner wouldn't have been fired from GM by Obama. He was the driving force behind the Chevy Volt (and several other green vehicle projects). Wasn't he the exact type of person the Obama administration wanted in charge of these companies? Of course he was, but Obama wanted to pull a power trip, and he didn't choose very wisely when he did, which is actually no big surprise. He's clueless, it's hid admin that writes his speeches and determines our policies, that's why he fails so badly withiout the teleprompter; they're not his ideas!

At least we don't have to hear much about the VP, Joe Biden. He screwed up a few times and then Obama told him to sit in his office and not say anything to anybody. Smartest thing he ever did...  applause applause applause

Ok, rant over... arrow Crazy rotflmao

Interestingly, after I voted, the lady who took my ballot said to me, "Thank you for voting. Be sure and vote again, just not today." I laughed and told her about the joke I had posted on NLG. rotflmao

The old bumper that I remember seeing when I was a
kid was the one that said "Custer Died For Your Sins".... rotflmao

Both stickers were referring to the atrocities the
foreigners did to the original inhabitants of this land...

It was pretty much comparable to what the Nazis
did to the Jewish and Polish peoples during WWII. no

Interestiing that this gentleman is now an elected member of Congress, to bad there are not more like him.

During a panel discussion sponsored by the Hudson Institute last January, retired Army Lt. Colonel Allen West, who did combat duty in Iraq, responded to a Marine who asked the question, how do you answer people who say that terrorists are following a "warped" version of Islam? The panel consisted of a number of former military personnel, who fumbled around trying to answer the question. Col. West finally stepped forward answered the question directly and truthfully. Listen to the words of a former military man who understands the nature of the enemy we face. Notice Col. West's straightforward assessment: "This is not a perversion. They are doing exactly what this book (i.e., the Qur'an) says." Col. West, by the way, was elected last week to Congress, to represent Florida's 22nd congressional district. He will be the first African-American Republican congressman to represent Florida since 1870.

I just added this to the existing thread seeing how not many politicians would voice comments of this nature on this subject, therefore the term "honest". Looking up his bio, I came across this article. I'm starting to really like this guy!

Oh really. Trust an ex-military man turned politician? Trust him to do what - reduce the deficit?  rotflmao rotflmao rotflmao rotflmao rotflmao Cry Laughing Cry Laughing

Let's hear it from those Marxist pinkos at American Conservative:

"According to the U.S. Department of Defense, during the period from 1947 through 1987 it used (in 1982 dollars) $7.62 trillion in capital resources. In 1985, the Department of Commerce estimated the value of the nation’s plants, equipment, and infrastructure (capital stock) at just over $7.29 trillion. In other words, the amount spent over that period could have doubled the American capital stock or modernized and replaced its existing stock."

And you know it's only got worse since 1987. I'll believe this bunch of shysters you're all so enthusiastic about are serious about the deficit when I see an axe laid to the root of the military budget.
