Hang on. He stated that the 61-1 never goes away. That's door optics not registering that the door is closed (or the JP reset key switch not working).

The 61 loop requiring a clear chip is where the 61-1 changes back to 61.

Maybe it's just a bad door optic wire broke? or burned out door receiver optic or door transmitter optic?

Yes, good catch. Did I mention I was rusty?

He should probably still order the clear and set chips, IMO. He'll probably need the set soon enough as his hobby grows and the clear is always good to have in reserve.

i got a igt s plus set 15 chip followed the instructions and never got the coin display to get a reading now when i put the sp1160 chip back in and start it up i get the 12 low battery message and the battery was just changed.....now im really lost

i found an igt s plus ram clear a valadator reset and another sp1160 chip but after reading the thread i think i may no longer need that

Rocko, I noticed that you had a 21 code and that as of your last post your slot seems to be working properly, so I'm guessing that the new low battery message you posted about here was solved.

Don't worry about having bought the set and clear chips; they are essential tools for any S-plus owner and you'll be glad you have them in the future.
