Title: SUMMIT Video / Model SD-BT19CV Key Chip & Manual?
Post by: Worldwide Gaming on April 13, 2011, 05:42:49 PM
Looking for a Key Chip for the Summit video's - information on the Mainboard as follows:

CRT-400
882900800

Machine Model on serial tag:

SD-BT19CV

I've got the CLEAR chips for this machine, but no KEY chip (or maybe it's a Key DOM?)

See attached machine photos:

What we used to clear the machine and set it up are CLR8MEG3 - U11 and U12. They are Clear/Set chips. So i am pretty sure you have enough to do the set up. I think you have to turn the reset key at one point but cannot remember.

I've got the same chips - they're just clears, not sets/key  :37-

According to the techs at Summit, their machines require back-end software to function - apparently, if they don't detect the network/back-end they disable everything and default the machine to a knock-off setup (hand pay only)...

Yes we used UGM boards for that purpose and they were a pain in the butt.

Well, the Summit's are back to get worked on.  Same issue as before.  No manual.  :37-

Through experimentation we've been able to get some machines to come up in stand alone by swapping out what I believe to be the OS proms and doing a clear.  This will, sometimes, allow me to bypass the progressive down error lock-up and run the game.  I still need to play with this further as the same combination of chips doesn't always work from board to board within the same machine.  e.g.  Take a board that's locking up with progressive down, swap the 4 EPROM's (NOT 11 & 12) to a different version, clear, restart - game comes up.  Move the same set of 6 chips to a different board - now the game won't come up.  Swap the game software and leave the other four, new game won't come up. etc etc etc.

My current guess is two of those four are OS and the other two are schedules/tables/data.  More likely than not, it's going to be a matter of matching the game to a compatible set of chips, DOM, and whatever is board specific.

Anyway - if anyone has any manuals for this stuff, could you please let me know ASAP?

I'll continue to share what we discover along the way...
