Title: Just picked up a SG-112
Post by: chuck300x11 on June 23, 2013, 05:07:43 PM
I just picked up a SG-112 bonus poker. It has a working bill validator and I was able to use tokens from my pachislos for credits. It does need a new coin tray but I am happier than a camel on wednesday.

How can I tell if this is a 112 or a 112+

If someone has an SG-112 (non-plus) manual they are willing to sell, I can do the scanning and post as a PDF file.

I'm attaching a pic of test page 1. I don't have a manual but it looks like sw5 is a double down option. How can I change this to enable the double down option?

Having first issue with this machine. Was playing yesterday and suddenly could not use max bet button. Went to test page and found only deal/draw was only working button. Thanks to this site I went into machine and made sure all wires were seated tight. Went back to test with no change. Took out max bet button removed and replaced wires and every button registered except for the max bet. I am guessing I need to replace that button. Does any one know where I can buy a replacement? I am attaching pics of the button panel. Thanks in advance.

You will find a 112+ manual at the top of the home page here under "NLG File System Downloads" tab if that will help?

I believe the button is similiar or the same as a Bally or IGT.

Buttons at Rudy's also.   http://rudysdeals.com/index.php?route=product/search&search=buttons

The strangeness continues
Just to be sure the button was bad I switched with one of the good buttons. When I turned machine back on, ALL THE BUTTONS WERE WORKING! I then switched the buttons back where they belong and game is 100% working now. Glad it is back to normal but strange anyway.

IT MAY JUST NEED A DIP SWITCH TURNED ON OR OFF TO ENABLE . MOST OF TIME IN REG GAMING MACHINES ALL CREDITS HAVE TO BE OFF WHEN DOING THIS . BUT CHERRY MASTERS OR POT OF GOLDS -GOLD TOUCH -SOUTHEREN GOLD ETC I HAVE REDONE SETTINGS WITH CREDITS ON . THEY WILL SAVE AND NOT DELETE AFTER A POWER OFF AND ON .

The 5th line down under SW-1 reads dbl. d.
I am guessing that means it is a double down feature as it is set to off at the moment. I don't have a manual so I don't know where the switch banks are.

THE SWITCH BANKS ARE ON THE BOARD ITSELF . SO IF IT REFERS TO BANK #1 ETC AND DIP # 2 HYPOTHETICALLY IS OFF FOR DOUB UP ETC &  SAYS TURN ON TO ENABLE DOUB UP THATS ALL YOU HAVE TO DO .
TAKE A BIC PEN MACHINE OFF . FLIP THE DIP SWITCH TO WHAT IT CALLS FOR . THEN POWER IT BACK UP AND IT SHOULD BE ENABLED .

AS I PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED IN THE SLOT MACHINE WORLD NO CREDITS ON MACHINE --IN CHERRY MASTER ---POT OF GOLD--GOLD TOUCH -SOUTHERN GOLD- WORLD-- THEY DO ACCEPT SETTINGS WITH CREDITS ON CERTAIN BOARDS -ITS EASIER TO DUMP THE CREDITS AND START FRESH .

AS I TELL EVERYONE TO DO BEFORE THEY MESS WITH DIP SWITCHES OR MACHINES IS TAKE YOUR DIGITAL CAMERA AND TAKE PICTURES OF THE SETTINGS OF ALL DIP SWITCHES WHILE MACHINE IS WORKING !!!

BEFORE YOU GO TO SET UP A NEW GAME OR NEW OPTION . THAT WAY IF YOU GET CONFUSED YOU CAN REVIEW ON COMPUTER SCREEN WHAT WAS CORRECT AND WORKED BEFORE YOU MESSED WITH IT .

Chuck,
the settings are in the onscreen set up then most likely . which you probably found out already ??
I had your gold touch board on my mind with the dips on board .
on your pictures try a lower resolution setting on camera so they come out more clear . very unclear to see on supersize .

nothing special about those switches, they are standard mini cherry switches,  IGT, Bally and Sigma all used the same type.   they do go bad, usually the spring inside does not click as it should when changing states, and they develop high resistance across the contacts (dirty).  wouldn't surprise me if the problem  re appeared.  just change the switch and you should be good to go.

as for the dip switches:  depending where the machine came from, some casino's ordered the machines with the dip switches removed and the options hard wired on the bottomside of the board. If memory serve me correctly, there were two sets of dip switches and a set of jumpers.  if you remove the bottom tray you will find jumpers soldered into the slots where the dip's should be. you could add jumpers or cut the ones inplace to change the options.  after you make a change, when you first power up the machine, it will know you made the change and you will have to activate the key switch on the side of the machine to make the change official.  I think the dips' were located at SW-1 and SW-2 .

Hope this helps

Jim

I am just sitting in a parking lot waiting for a order to arrive.I could not resist to post this one ? HOW MANY PRESSES IS A STANDARD MICRO SWITCH -RATED FOR ? LOL. That's good food for a "mathematical" wizord to figure out. If the co. Even gives a life expentant of the switch ? I would not even post a guess. Its past millions.

I think Jim was correct in saying that it was probably ordered without the switches as there is nothing underneath the board either.
