anybody had this problem? if i turn the game off using the switch inside the game i have issues with it booting up the next time i turn it on. but if i just unplug it it seems to work every time? any thoughts?

Never heard of that. I'd start by checking the battery voltage. It's a 3.6v and should be above 3.2v or so. If it's below 3.0v it definitely needs replacing.

I never heard of it either.
If the battery was the problem it would act the same turning switch or pulling plug.

I agree, but low batteries cause weird behaviors and it's a place to start.

I agree. You'll also need to let us know if it's a V7000 or V7200, and if you have a single or double bet deck. It wouldn't hurt to post which mains you have installed, either.

My V5500 was doing the same thing and I replaced the caps
in the power supply.

The caps on the 110 volt side were swollen, so I
felt like that was the problem.

most intermittent problems trace back to the power supply.  -i had to service a game maker where the bill validator was continually cycling,  the  negative 12 volt side of the p/s was -8 volts.  -replacing the circuit board in the p/s fixed the cycling problem.
