Is it possible to produce custom reel strips, preferably backlit type and slot glass? I know from my pinball days that translights were made for popular bally pinball machines, so do any of you guys have any ideas on how to go about this? I was going to use reel strips that i have to take the old graphics off and get new ones printed on them This way at least, they will be the correct size and match up to the reel wheels. The main thing I would be concerned with is how to get the glass graphics to allow light to shine through them like in any standard pinball/slot glass. I know there are sign companies our there that make graphics that light up with a flourecent light behind them. Any ideas?

Thanks,

David

Yes it is possible but be prepared to get out the checkbook.  It's important that you work with a company and graphic artist that specifically work with strips and glass since they have the correct templates to work from.  They also manage the production of the strips and glass for you. Plan on about $35 to $50 per hour of graphic artists fee (length of time depends on how complicated your requests are)(make multiple revisions at your request....that gets billed too).  Then plan on about $250 on top of that for the actual production of your 3 panels of glass, strips, and shipping.  PM if you want a contact name.

Pictures below of a custom kit that started with Ken at Ohio Gaming as a single line game.  I worked with him and the graphic artist to turn it in to a 5-Line game.  Also added some Jimmy Buffet "Margaritaville" graphics to the strips.  This was a pricey venture...but worth it in my eyes.

I would be interested in seeing what we can do with this.... with our vinyl printer/cutter.... I just need direction. We are talking about buying a topper for my slot and doing a custom graphic on it, just for fun... I just need to find a cheap one to play with.

That is a sweet looking custom theme.  Did the company that starts with an "E" produce those for you, or did you use a different company?  Just curious, as it looks awesome.

That's really a cool game & cool idea.  I love all the bright colors.
It would be fun to do one with Big Cats, not big house cats,
Lions, Tigers, etc.
