Title: does anyone work on Telcovision monitors?
Post by: badbaud on September 02, 2011, 03:58:17 AM
If you do and have any experience with the KT1401MA chassis please let me know. I have a schematic and have some questions I need to get answers to.

I did, that was a month ago and no response. So I put it on the "can't be fixed in my lifetime" shelf and gave the customer a Toei replacement.

What questions do you have about this monitor?

I can't get the horizontal signal to fire up the FBT. Sorry, no schematic with me today.
The horz signal is driving the horz drive transformer on it's primary side just fine but the base of the HOT shows no signal.
I have replaced the HOT, all related caps, , the transistor that drives the HOT, and checked all resistors out of circuit but still can't get the HOT to fire up and drive the FBT.
Have you encountered a weird problem like this?

Sorry, the transistor that drives the horz drive transformer, not the HOT.
I'll get the schematic tomorrow if you need more info.

That is a problem I can say I have never had, but I do not have the schematics here to look at for that one, we use the 1403ma monitor here, if it is the same as the 1401, you might think about the tda9102c or equivalent for your monitor, looks to me like the transistor gets it feed from that IC.

Ya, that was the first problem I fixed, which led me to my current problem. The output from the defective IC was 1VPP riding on top of 6VDC.
