Title: Ceronix 1492 Horizontal Adjustment
Post by: pinguy on March 11, 2013, 11:15:43 PM
Can anyone help me with this? I have a Ceronix 1492 from an IGT PE+ game.  The tube was shorted out, so I purchased a new in the box tube, and installed it with the original chassis.  Now I have a picture that is too wide to fit on the screen.  The horizontal adjustment works, but it just doesn't get small enough.  I do a lot of work on pinball circuit boards, but my monitor experience consists of replacing cap kits, and crossing my fingers hoping the "bends" go away.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried sliding the yoke closer on the neck of the tube?

The thought hadn't occurred to me.  I will give it a shot. Thanks!!
BTW - I agree with your assessment about dogs & happiness

I know there is an H adjust on the outboard, but can't recall if Ceronix had a width adjust on the board itself.  Look for a large coil with a center screw tap...?

That's a good point Reno, but swapping apples for apples shouldn't require that type of adjustment unless it's bad in the first place

There appears to be no adjustment on the Horizntal width coil, or anywhere else on the chassis board - only on the aux. board.  I'm out of town for a few days, but I will try moving the yoke this weekend.
Thanks again.
