Hi
my GK has a gun problem on start up . screen jump in and out of color then settles down ok after a few minutes.
I think its the blue gun as I would expect the screen to go to a purple colour if the green gun  had failed
I take it this is the start of futher faulting to come.
Is there an easy remedy, ie a faulty capacitor, If so where should I look for it .
When it is going the color purity tests from the screen menu are great. The screen had settled before I could access the test menu

Thank you for your replies.

I would suspect a bad solder joint on one of the video PRAs or the CRT socket.

hi if your blue was at fault you would have a yellow picture, look on the neckboard/tube base for dry joints . check the R/G/B cathode voltages should be about 90volts but it can be a bit higher or lower   it depends on emission/ life of crt   , if you need more info please let me know. esdave uk engineer.
