Hello, I have a Sigma Treasure Tunnel slot machine model sg-150b plus that has stopped working and can use some help. The game turned on fine but on the display it said "now self testing wait for a while" and never changed from there. I tried pulling all the plugs and chips from the main board and re-seated them. I put the machine back on and now the display says "game data mismatch please check it". In the manual it says that message means denomination gal eprom missing. It says as a fix I should replace gal Eprom (ic59). The chip was put back in correctly so I'm not sure why that message is coming up now or what to do next. Any good advice will be very appreciated.

Yes I do. I've tried turning it and nothing happens. I also tried to do a ram reset by keeping the key turned, holding the test button inside while turning the power on to the machine and still nothing happens. Should I try something else with it?

Things look good....Have you checked for bent pins?..Also, try using the reset key when you get the "Mismatch Error"...Where does it stand now when it tries to boot?

There's no bent pins I checked again. The reset key doesn't do anything and when the machine boots up it still says game data mismatch please check it. It doesn't change from there no mater what I try. Turning the key or doing a ram reset doesn't change anything.

the weak part on the sigma sg's is the power supply,  check the voltages -there are taps on the front of the board. -the important one is 5v, it can be calibrated inside the power supply.

I believe I see 3 taps directly to the left of the larger chips in the front of my board. If those are the ones your talking about then they all have exactly 5 volts. Are those the correct ones that I'm supposed to be checking?

This is a picture of the taps that I checked.

there should be 4 taps, one is a ground,  should have 5v, 12v and either -12 or 24v (i don't remember off hand -prob 24v to drive the reels)

how did the machine first malfunction? was it ever working?  -did you check the voltage on the coin cell soldered on the board? -should be at least 2.9volts

no no no absolutely do not mess with those jumpers, you can toast chips.

look closely on the front of the board, towards the left, you will find the taps -i think they are designated with (TP)

Found them. Yeah I think tp1 is the ground. Ground to tp2 is 5.1v, ground to tp3 is 12.7v, and ground to tp4 is 25.7v.  The machine was working then stopped during play. I couldn't get it to work so I did a ram reset and this was the result.

I'd check the coin cell on the board but have no idea what it is. Sorry. Can you tell me where it is?

I have a 3.6v lithium battery that is soldered on the board which is putting out 3.6v. Not sure if that's what your talking about or not.

Are the wires hooked up to the reset key switch?...If you have a continuity checker, check that the switch is working...It should be N/O and when you turn it N/C...

I'm having difficulty posting the video. When you turn it on all 3 reels spin 1 full revolution then stop and then in the display it states Game data mismatch please check it. In the other 2 displays that are for the winner paid and credits screens, that's just blank nothing comes up there now. If you need the video still please send me an email address that i can send it to. Thanks.

I think your battery is ok for now. I would try doing the hard clear at least three times by holding the test button while holding the reset key and powering on all at the same time like you did before. Sometimes Sigmas need to be cleared several times to get a full clear. Also, you MUST have the machine on a good surge protector. Sigmas are very sensitive to surges. When you do the hard clear you must hold the reset key and the test button for 30 seconds, the reels should spin and the door display should say "ram change turn the reset key two times" when the clear has completed properely. Try the clear a few times and report back to us. -Koni

Also, on switch 2, dip no. 7 can be turned ON so the machine will not be looking for the condition of the battery.
They will work just fine without one. a couple of my boards have no batteries at all.

I tried turning on that battery switch and did the hard reset 3 more times while holding it for close to a minute each time but it still says game data mismatch please check it. I have a new gal eprom chip coming. I should have it tomorrow. I'll replace it and let you know how I make out.

Ok, I got the new gal chip and put it in. I now get this message that comes up. I tried doing the 3 long factory resets and it didn't help. Any other ideas? Thanks.
