On a bally 6000 sound question. I have Money Bars running. All sound works OK except for
when money bars hit. Racks up credits but no sound. Would appreciate any help.
Thanks, Ford

You might send a PM to NLG Member "Tilt" as he has the exact same machine and can tell you what he has on his end.

If the the rest of the sounds are working then I doubt the sound board is an issue.  It may be "just they way it is"....but I would check with Tilt first before doing anything.

Picture attached shows the location.  Be very careful removing it....replacement would be hard to come by and the little prongs on the end of the chip break in the wind they are so delicate.

I doubt that there would not be any sounds on a hit like that..............kinda weird.

@ end of video there are 3 bars. Anywhere they pay. All it does is give click and rack up credits with no sound.

Yeah I can see it's playing the roll-up sound on a standard hit, but on the Bonus "Quick Hit" you get nothing on the roll-up.  Doesn't seem normal.  I wonder it they just put a generic sound chip in there?  Can you carefully remove the sound chip and see what it says on it?  I might suggest you remove the entire Pro2 sound board from the machine and then remove the chip from a desktop instead of trying to remove the chip while the board sits on the side wall...it's very delicate as I said.

It will make the same sounds with out the board in (I think) because I had a 6000 and took the sound board out and got that result

I have the board out. it looks like a 3260 stamped on it. To pull chip out do you just pull or do the flaps on each end get preyed open first?

I looked @ chip. I'm not pulling it. My eye's are not good enough to put all those FINE legs back in.
I'll surely screw it up.
Looked again. Do you open clam to get chip out? How do you open the clam?

You open the clam shell by sliding it from the front to the back of the card (the back as if it was still installed on the sidewall and you were sliding it towards the back of the machine).

okay so it's using a generic sound simm good for most all games but missing some bonus sounds (game dependent) .  Have you heard from Tilt yet...would be good to see what he has and compare.
