From the unidentifiable glass and graphics, I'd say it's over priced

Here's one I saw now on Fleabay. Interesting.

Up for your consideration is a Cyberview Technology Downloadable Games slot type machine. First off I want to tell you I know absolutely nothing about this machine so if anyone has any info that would be usefull in selling this machine please let me know so that I can post it.I will tell you what I see & what little I know.It is the same size as an actual slot machine & just as friggin heavy.Cabinet & exterior is in excellent condition. It has a 14" LCD screen. It is marked on the front Cyberview Technology & Downloadable Games. It a coin hopper inside & a coin slot but I don't know the denomination. It has what looks to be a bill validator but I could be wrong. It also has a slot on front that looks like it accepts credit cards or players cards. It has a hard drive inside. It has no data tag.The buttons on the machine read: Cash out, Help, Change Game, Raise Bet, Reduce Bet & Bet.I did google Cyberview & got to a web site www.cybview.com & found some info on the company. They are a leading supplier of end - to - end secure server - based downloadable gaming systems, what ever the hell that means!!!.The screen turns on but other than that I guess you need software or something to get it going. It was also bought out by IGT gaming back in July & they are based in London.Again,I know nothing about this machine & welcome any info.I was made several off Slot Machines

Well, if that's what the server based machines are going to look like, I'm stayin' home! :81-  I realize that the retail units will have more colorful artwork on the glass, but even the shape of the thing, the bet deck, and the placement of the dbv are unflattering. Maybe this is a rejected design. :103- :96-

$1000 boat anchor, anyone? :97- :97- :97-

...Or maybe we could adapt these things for MAME. :5-

This one (the $800 one) looks like a Thunderbird or similar, they were Generic cabinets and companies used Super Jamma harnesses with an Arcade style board in them, primarily there were made for Indian Reservations when the Big Boys wouldn't talk to them, I have many of these from the big buyout I did in Wash. 5 years ago, they uses generic parts, but not the same graphics as an WMS or IGT

Hence the boat anchor comment... :96- :102-  :97- :97- :97-

What you really need is the gaming software and the protocol & hardware to hook up a server to the machine. Just call IGT and ask for their sales department. You might want to get a gaming license and buy a casino before calling if you want someone to actually talk to you. :127-  :72- :72-:125- :7-  :30- :30-

PS: I say, wait for the floor models to come out. At least then you can watch pretty cocktail waitresses walk by while you play, and when you lose your $1000 they'll give you a free buffet. :96-

Go to G2E - Play for free, watch the over friendly spokes hosteses vs the 50 year old coctail waitresses who are trained to ignore slot players.

From the sounds of the article IGT will be replacing their own machines just to get the platform seeded in the Casinos. They are either going to go big.... or take IGT down.

The new Trimline IGT's are Server Based Capable, like the new dual LCD games we have talked about here, they are prewired with Ethernet in them, but for now are stand alone
