I got three machines recently and from looking on the inside they look like they came straight from the casino, I wanted to do some cleaning but not sure what to use so that I don't mess anything up.  I saw on another post not to try and clean the reels so I'll leave those alone.  There just appears to be a few years of build up on them probably from the smoking community not to mention the debris created by the nickels running thru them.  I figure I'll partially disassemble them and use a van to get the loose stuff out.  Any ideas on liquid cleaners or what to use on the glass front/back?  Also, like most slots I've seen the laminate has some cracks etc...  is it worth the effort to strip and replace or better to leave as is?

Really appreciate all the comments and assistance up to this point, seems like for such a simple device design to separate people from their money they are complicated little devices.

Oh, and I guess I already know how to feed them, just keep ample supply of bills on hand Tongue

Check out the Noob guide (no offense) on the right side of the Home page (up by the vendors banners). Some helpful info there. Also, since your new machines are S+ machines, you're strips are washable, or at least you have a 99% chance they are.  I have never seen an S+ strip that was not washable. (You can try a corner and see. You will quickly detect a smell and see the surface deteriorate if they are not. Worst case, you can buy replacement strips, so i would try it on your most common machine if you're concerned (Dbl Diamond, would be my pick).

Otherwise, windex away on the outside. I use 409 on the cabinets to remove nicotine and gunk, WD-40 to remove stickers (follow WD-40 with Windex to remove the oily residue it leaves). When in doubt, use a damp cloth.  yes

Vacuum out the inside, and have fun!!!   wave
