Yeah, you read CORRECTLY!
Here is whats going on. Were moving to Hawaii. We already have a home leased there, the clock is counting down.
Moving to Hawaii is EXPENSIVE! It will cost us $10,000 to move all our belongings, About $3000 to move the vehicles.
SO.... The Bluebird has to go.Here is what you get.....

Factory Dual monitors.
Multiple sets of glass (lots of it)
Machine has 5ยข Hopper and coin head setup (working)

LOTS of "Factory" Software, Genuine WMS stuff.
You also get a BRAND NEW Laminated wood stand/cabinet.
Machine is in Las Vegas, Nevada (of course).
Needs to be sold by late Dec 2011.

If you are interested in a BBU, send me a message HERE on NLG.
Price Won't be inexpensive, but won't be robbery either. There is a LOT
included with this machine.....

Other stuff....
5 reel IGT Vision "Mata Hari" missing top glass, gloss black round top in good shape! $200
17" GameKing with 59 games, complete with stand $700

Thanks! It's been fun! and I will miss this hobby, but it's going to cost a bunch to get there.
Who knows? If I dont have enough to move it all there, it might go into storage and arrive at a later
time.To store the lot would be about $250 a month. Might have to move a few items, cars,us and toys
at a later time.......

Thanks Smiley
It's something my wife and I have always wanted to do. I made her a deal, when she was diagnosed with breast cancer I told her she needed to "Beat" that dreaded Cancer. We made the deal that when she got it into remission, we would move to Hawaii.
She went thru the Kemo, She had the Radiation. She lost her hair (finally grew back), went down to 94 pounds but she survived the treatment and the cancer is in remission!.
I think she has earned the move to Hawaii. When this Cancer hits your family, your "Order of Priority" will change drastically. It's kinda hard to explain....
While I love to own the machines, the wife is a lot more important. Will I miss them in hawaii? I'm sure I will.
But living there will be a everyday event, a really pleasant one.We still plan to visit Las Vegas a few times a year.
The Hobbies will change a bit. Probably "Ramp up" my HAM radio activities. I have a complete "Remote Station" in a box, I can do remotes for AM/FM radio stations from the island for less money then it costs a station to send their own Engineer and equipment.I want to get certified in SCUBA, try out a lot of new things.
I'm sure we can find a new home for the BBU and the IGT I-Game. I also have a really nice "Catch A Wave" with a new 17" flat screen LCD display and the correct topper I will part with. There is a silver lining here, The house is a 3 bedroom, have room for a guest or two.So if a NLG member wants to come out to Kona Hawaii (NO MACHINES OR CASINOS) for a week or two, be prepared for withdrawals..but a simply wonderful experiance in a fantastic place (Still in the USA).

>>>me jealous<<<

ALL THE BEST TO YOU KIRK!!!
Glad to hear the wife is OK. A move to Hawaii sounds just like what the Dr ordered!  yes
I did hear a rumor that they do actually have internet available in Hawaii now so it does
not mean "goodbye"...you are still there and us here so we certainly expect to "see"
you around still.
---I would love to take you up on your spare room offer but that's simply a pipe dream for now  arrow ---

We wish you an your wife only the best and Congrats on the move!

Kirk, it sounds like you've got some exciting times ahead of you with new challenges and interests to keep you busy. I'm glad to hear that your wife is in remission and hope you're both happy in Hawaii. I came close to meeting you once or twice but we never ended up connecting at Joey's or in Vegas. I had hoped to meet you before you left. Don't forget to log on once in a while and say hello aloha. wave

Kirk,

I too never had the chance to take your open invitation to meet up in Vegas, but Buzz is bending my arm way behind my back to go to his house to meet up and come along for the ride, so it looks like I will get my chance to meet you in person. (Yes, he is forcing me, I am not just skipping work or procrastinating!!! And I did not invite myself no matter what he says!!! arrow Crazy bust gut laughing no no ) I think that Buzz wants me to come along so that I can load his truck, and also because I owe him alot of money too! If I don't pay he may take me to a hole out in the desert!  muted Help muted I think he is testing my ability to resist! propeller rotflmao

Kirk,

Sounds great... I can't go to Vegas and not get out for a meal, it just would not be right! You will have to put up with Buzz, Myself, and StatFreak since he is going to come along for the ride too! Look forward to meeting you.

Anyone that's been following this thread knows that my self, Capt. Happy  CaptainHappy and Stat Freak garfield were at Kirk's house yesterday to pick up a couple of machines. But my story is a little different than Kirk's.

As I recall we had the truck pretty well loaded, and was getting ready to load the I Game when the Alligator tears started flowing. Folks you never have seen a grown man cry like Kirk , here was these rotton bastards from another state taking his last machine. I didn't care let him cry but the floor got so slick I couldn't get the machine onto the cart.  At this point Folks I ask you what can a fellow do, we had to come home with a half empty truck.

What a sweet Wife Kirk has, I tried to get her to come home with me, but she wouldn't have any part of that. That's when I discovered she's not real bright, she missed the opportunity to come home with a nice guy like me and chose instead to stay with a old fart like Kirk.

I swear all the above is the truth and nothing but the truth as I see it. I wouldn't Bull S*** you.

Thanks Kirk

Note from Stat: Buzz asked me to review his post and make sure that his account of our visit was as absolutely as accurate as possible, and after reading the above paragraph I can honestly tell you that I was too busy playing the Bluebird to remember whether any of what Buzz says is true or not. I do recall that after inquiring as to the location of the restroom, that Kirk, unsolicited, made a point of insisting that all of his previous guests were wrong and that the suspicious-looking night light which had a small lens on the front really wasn't a camera.  Sherlock Smiley Weird Eyes arrow Help Cry Laughing Cry Laughing

I don't know...my version is a tad differant. I opened the door to a small army. After ID'ing me as Kirk, they flooded the game room. They looked around, said there was some OK stuff here but we all needed "Fuel" to carry out this mission. We went in mass down to the local Buffalo Wild Wings. We took so much time that our waitress actually sat down with us. Once we ordered we devoured the food offerings (like buzzards) and were told by the staff to never come back (its OK  were moving anyways).
Back to the gameroom.....
We opened the door, someone yelled some kind of war "Charge". Stuff was flying all over the place. This wasn't a "Move" but rather a "Rape & Pillage" mission spare nothing.
Before I knew it, they had my TV's, appliances, radio equipment WIFE and one dog loaded on that truck!!!
It was the fastest 15 minutes of my life! After a while, we made a deal..they only took the machines. After I asked about my payment, they then told me they were a branch
of the Starvation Army, thanks for your donation and that many "kids" will enjoy our donation.I'm still a little bewildered, but would do it again in a heartbeat.

Yesterday was a lot of fun, was great too see all of you, wife says thanks for the flowers and Mr. Grumbles misses you......

My wife and I also had the pleasure of dining with Kirk and his wife at Buffalo Wild Wings ( his favorite I presume), the pleasure of his dogs licking my legs to a spotless shine (don't wear shorts ) , getting two S+ Barcrest slot machines and one Williams slot machine along with him helping me fix a few problems. Hope you and the wife enjoy Hawaii. A great asset to NLG. Aloha!

Dale...
They were "Maranating" your legs....preparing for an attack....

With a LOT of help from our friends, we will be able to start a new chapter of our lives in Hawaii.
We can't wait to live there, and share the Aloha spirit with our friends, extend the "Kamaina" treatment
to everyone that would like to come and visit us in one of the nicest places in the USA....
