Tom-

Welcome to NLG -- you'll find a lot of helpful folks here.

If your pictures are too big, allow me to suggest a site that will host them and automatically resize them to a size that will work for this message board.  Just visit http://www.tinypic.com/ , click the "Browse..." button to locate a picture on your computer, and then from the "Resize" drop-down box where it says "Default", change that to "Message Board".  Then click the big green "Upload Now" button and you'll be set.

Once the picture uploads, just copy the text labeled "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards" and paste it into a post here.

I hope i did this right.

You did!  Looking great (and a nice clean machine, too).  I'm not a Bally expert at all, but I'm sure someone on the board will be able to identify your machine and help you get it going.  Best wishes.   yes

I will give Dan a call today as well.

I have been told by another guy that this machine is run by the main board and the tranformer. There is no power supply. He showed me pics that show the same connectors in the machine not hooked up to anything.

He mentioned that it is either the main board or even as simple as  u51, which is a chip/ battery on that board.

Is anyone heard of this.

Thanks for all the help, you guys are a good bunch of guys.

I see the difference now, the 110 goes into a filter, the V-5000 I have it goes into the power supply dist box, also the circuit breakers are in the board area, the V-5000 we have they are located in the bottom mounted on their own, I think these were those New Lottery machines that were for sale several years ago, must be configured different for that, but must have been changed as the glass says ticket on it and you have a hopper, when you plug the connectors into the board at top, do you get any message?

No messages, just a grey screen.

You can see where the outline of the cards would be , but no images and no color.
I had a similar problem with another machine that was left unplugged for several day. That was a simple litho battery replacement. But now I am told that the battery is at u51 in a chip.

I actually talked with Larry about a week ago. I sent him some pic, via mail. He didnt want them in an email . H e must be pretty good, I have heard his name a few times now.   Thanks again.

The funny thing about this machine is that I am hearing 2 different things. I am hearing I need a power supply , ( which there is none in the machine) and the other is that it is either the main board or a chip/battery on the same control board. I was told u51 is a chip/battery on this machine.

I am just wondering what would happen if I hook a power supply to the 3 connectors on the bottem right corner of the machine??

Doubt that will help but if you want to try let me know, you may want to post a pic of that section of the board and the battery, I bet it is a Dallas type device
