Title: Bally's Proslot 5500 Hopper
Post by: JimmyG on November 23, 2008, 02:34:31 PM
Looking for help/suggestions. Replaced main pwr supply, now hopper continually runs. When I was put hopper back in machine noticed one elec connector pin was bent. Straiten pin but still hopper keeps running. Didn’t have this problem before

The first thing I would check is the coin-out switch or optic. Does the machine time-out or does it just dump the hopper?

On my hopper there are two switches on the left side - rotate the wheel forward and backward.  Check those and make sure there not stuck.

Ok. Does the hopper ever stop? It should, after 15 seconds. It should reverse, and then try to payout. It should do this at least 3 times. It should then stop and a 30 code should be displayed. Could be a 35 0r 31 code.

The codes are displayed on the 7 segment display on the top most display on the upper right pannel of the player display.

If you have any more of these machines that work, we can sort this out quickly. If not. We'll just have to sort this out.
