   S2000 Video - Sound
« on: November 21, 2007, 02:10:35 PM »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have an IGT S2000 Video machine. If it makes a difference, it is a Double Diamond Mine. I get no reel sound or music as the reels spin. I do get sound when the the little mine cars fill with diamonds. In the sound menu the volume is turned fairly high for all sound options. It doesn't look like there are any DIP switches on the motherboard to control sound. Could someone tell me how to troubleshoot this problem?

Thanks for your help!

Sound for the video portion of that game is on the flash card in the lcd monitor.Ê It has its own volume control for the lcd and it appears that you have is correctly set unless you want to change it.Ê As to the other sounds, do you get any sound when you set sound level to the highest level of 10?  Using the Machine Options menu for sound that is?

The sound from the machine comes from a harness in the back left corner of the top box and goes to the LCD.  It has green and white wires.  The sound is then combined and goes on a harness to the amp (if you have one) or if no amp it splits off to the speakers.  Check the sound harness to make sure it is seated in the connector of the top box and the lcd.
