This has been posted before and I'm not sure just what is cleared when you switch the two Cmos chips. Someone else needs to jump in here that knows. Hell give me a couple of hours and I will see what happens. First gotta cook up some Shrimp for my Sons and me. ( would it be me or I ) who cares. ( David )

The one thing I do know about the CMOS chips. if you bend one of the legs, when you try to straighten it, it will break off. ( Ask Stat )  Bunker and I PMed about them and I think Bunker came up with a price of around 18 bucks each.

 Nerd pulling the static ram chips will clear errors and wipe out your history on the machine but won't help with any keychip options.  for the accounting denom change a clear chip then keychip must be used.  yes yes hissy fit hissy fit

If you have burner you can clear the EEPROM on the Motherboard.
Just write a clear buffer (filled with FF) to it.
It is the only IC in a socket.
Best to remove the cover to get to it.

Clear 97 seams to work for me.
