Title: IGI MANUAL, ANYONE GOT ONE?
Post by: CaptainHappy on August 05, 2009, 12:59:08 AM
Hey folks,

Does anyone happen to have an old manual laying around on disk for the IGI video slot machines. (NOTE: NOT IGT!) They were titles like AREA 51 and Monster money? and tiki torch? and ?

Thanks,

CaptainHappy :95-

They started out as a small company in Reno, and they changed a bit along the way. People knew them under a couple names:

I believe it was originally IGCA for Innovative Gaming Corporation of America.

Then Later it was IGI for Innovative Gaming, Inc. (I MAY BE BACKWARDS HERE?)

At one point they did a deal with IGT to make a bonus game that mounted to the top of an S+ Slant Top machine. Sound familiar? HMMMMMM  :103-

Here are a couple PICs for the fun of it....

If I remember right they made the slant top bonus game that was like 8 feet tall, the name escapes me, there were a few floating around on ebay about this time last year tho'

Another, and no, the number is out of service as they have been out of business for a while now to the best of my knowledge.

I still have seen these machines very recently in Laughlin, and some SOCAL Indian Casinos. This one shows a date of January '04.

Okay, this is non-related, but I couldn't help noticing that the address of the company was on Orville Wright Ct., and we were just joking about the Wrights earlier today (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=548.msg33255#msg33255) (okay, yesterday, now). :96- :96-

I don't have a manual, but more games from IGCA in case it helps in your search.  FYI:  These seem to be Linux-based machines.

Area 51
Hollywood Reels
Jackpot Jems
Monster Money
Mummy Hunter
Tiki Treasure
Wild Eagle
Wild Jungle
Wild Monkeys

Stolistic,

That list definately helped as it explained my confusion about the Tiki game... I said Tiki Torch, and it was Tiki Treasure! At least I remembered one of the words in the name.  :72-

If no one has a manual, maybe someone at least remembers the following: I have a few of these games, and I fear the software corrupting and me having no recourse given the company's lack of existence. :99- :103- What I want to do is to backup the CD and the eproms. Does anyone know if the cd can be copied for backup purposes? Also I am not sure of which eproms should be backed up as well. If anyone has a confirmed idea, please let me know. I think I know how to proceed, but I wanted to get more advice first to know if I have a good backup. Thanks in advance!  :3-

I've got a set for Hot Shot Dice - it also covers 90% of the Roulette as well.

Gotta say though, not a hell of a lot of info in them.  All they did for me was raise my frustration levels  :37-

I have a manual and a wiring diagram to share.  Regarding the CD-ROMs, you can copy them for backup and use them if you're jurisdiction will let you.  We purchased the latest software a couple years ago (which was still really old) from Quest Gaming, who owns the licsense for IGI, and has some of the bugs fixed from previous versions. As far as I know, H-level is the newest software version for these games.  I can help with specific problems if anyone has questions.  We don't have hoppers or coin comparitors anymore though, so it may be limited to what I can help with.

I've got some IGI manuals.  They pretty much suck though.  Give me a call and we can work out how to get them to you.
