Hello!  I stumbled upon this site trying to find any information about a slot machine I acquired and hope you guys can help.  it is a Bally 3 reel machine, probably from the '70s.  The plate with the model info has been removed so I don't have any info but the pictures.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

it is an early bally - hopper says 785 on it - why the top box?  clean machine.  see if the reel wiper boards or reel wipers themselves have any id markings on them.

I've got a bars-only like that, which is labelled 742A.  I think it's one of the very first conversions (mine's a 5 coin), and probably made around the mid to late 70's.  It's pretty cleanly done, with new formica all over.  They reattached the original tag on the side.  A nice job, but the top unit mounting and config kinda sux.
Would like to know who built these and where they were made....

785 was a "reel keno" but that doesn't mean the machine matches the hopper. That machine has probably had several identities in its lifetime. The paytables in the glass are not original. Most single coin Ballys of that vintage were made for the British market, the "200 plus prize" sounds English to me. If so, the top box may have held a change mechanism. Is it original, ie are the sides in one piece, or is it a separate screw-on unit?
